The Gondola

This amazing destination has two exciting villages to explore and  Telluride came up with a brilliant solution, a free gondola connecting the Mountain Village with  historic town of Telluride.  This is the first and only free public transportation of its kind in the USA where you can enjoy a relaxing 13 minute journey and breathtaking 360 degree views on this ride from town to town.

What was a once a 13 km drive between towns is now a stunning 4 km ride over the majestic Telluride mountains reaching over 3,000 metres at the Summit.  The Gondola has become a must do while visiting Telluride and a great way for skiers and boarders to hit the slopes. There are even pet friendly cabins! Just hop in a cabin marked with a paw print and you and your furry friend will be on your way.
