Overview

Located in the Kootenay Region in the South-Eastern corner of British Columbia, the charming mountain town of Fernie is renowned for top mountain biking experiences in the heard of the Canadian Rockies.

With over 100 mountain bike trails, most of which can be accessed from Fernie town, there is something for every level of rider, from fast and flowy singletrack, all-mountain, or advanced cross country and downhill. Key riding areas include Ridgemont, Mt Fernie, Mt Fernie Provincial Park Morriseey Ridge, and Fernie Alpine Resort Bike Park which offers 42 lift accessed downhill and cross county trails with wide flowing trails and technical singletrack.

Mt. Fernie and The Valley of Island Lake
Venture up iconic Mt Fernie to ride the Slunt trail with a challenging climb, tight turns, berms and forest tracks.  Connect to the Lazy Lizard trail which is considered to be one of the most beautiful rides in Fernie through old cedar forest with amazing views of Island Lake.

Castle Mountain
Located on Morrissey Ridge in the Canadian Rockies with amazing valley views, head to Castle Mountain for challenging enduro rides with big climbs, epic descents including the Southern Comfort trail for some superfast downhill.

Fernie is located in the southeast of British Columbia, Canada.
One of the closest airports is the Calgary International Airport with Fernie located just over a 3 hour drive away.
