Overview
Méribel is located in the Les Allues valley, right in the centre of Les 3 Vallées, one of the world’s largest linked ski areas. With over 600km of groomed pistes and 45 lifts, it offers access to terrain spread across Méribel itself, Courchevel, Val Thorens, and more. The resort sits at altitudes ranging from 1,100 metres in the village up to 2,952 metres at Mont Vallon.
The skiing is well-suited to all levels, but Méribel is particularly popular with intermediate skiers thanks to its long, flowing runs and well-maintained pistes. Beginners benefit from dedicated learner zones and gentle slopes around the village, including the Family Cool area designed to make learning safe and fun. Advanced skiers can explore steep runs, off-piste routes, and two renowned snow parks that attract freestyle enthusiasts.
The lift network is modern and efficient, with high-speed chairlifts and gondolas allowing quick access across the ski area. This ease of movement means you can ski multiple valleys in one day without retracing your tracks.
The village combines traditional alpine architecture – think timber chalets and stone buildings – with all the amenities modern skiers expect. You’ll find a wide range of accommodation options, from cosy chalets to luxury hotels. Dining options cover everything from hearty mountain fare to international cuisine, while the après ski scene offers something for everyone, from relaxed bars to lively nightspots.
