Portillo Ski Resort in Chile is renowned for its extraordinary beauty and terrain in the Andes and sets the standard for classic experiences, offering unique all-inclusive ski holidays in elegant ski-in/ski-out accommodation. Portillo is famed for its steeps with easily accessed back country terrain but you will also find wide-open beginner and intermediate slopes. The resort is only two hours from Santiago.

Overview

Right inside the heart of the Chilean Andes, Portillo is only a 2.5 hour scenic drive from Santiago offering a one-of-a-kind ski holiday. Portillo has an intimate and private feel with a maximum of 450 guests at any one time staying at the hotel that overlooks the captivating Laguna de Inca (its lake), you will never have to stand in a queue.

Enjoyable to all ski levels, beginner and intermediate skiers can cruise the groomed trails while the more experienced skiers have access to off-piste bowls, famed steeps and vertigo-inducing slopes. With over 1,235 acres of ski terrain, there will always be space to explore.

Ski Packages at this resort are based on a Ski Week or Mini Ski Week and include:

  • Seven nights lodging  (Ski Week: Saturday to Saturday stay)
  • Unlimited access to ski lifts during stay.
  • Four meals per day (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner)
  • Complimentary use of heated pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, fitness center, full court gymnasium, aerobics and yoga classes, cinema, game room with rock climbing wall, children’s activities, disco, piano bar, ski check, boot check and timed race courses.
  • Day care for children ages 4 to 7 years old is free of charge.

Getting There

Getting to Portillo

Portillo is located on the edge of Inca Lake, 164km from Santiago, Chile.

Fly into Santiago International Airport and we can arrange a transfer to the resort – approximately 2 hours. Or we can arrange a rental car for your scenic drive to the resort.

Accommodation

Budget Option

Inca Lodge, The Inca Lodge offers accommodations similar to that of a youth hostel and is a great option for younger travellers coming to Portillo as a group or alone. Rooms are small and feature two bunk beds. Bathrooms are communal. Guests travelling alone will be assigned to a room with other guests of the same gender. The meal plan is in the Self-service Cafeteria.

Moderate Option

Octagon Lodge, Octagon Lodge is a great option for groups of 2-4 looking for a more economical option with a similar level of comfort and privacy to our main hotel. Octagon rooms feature two comfortable bunk beds and a private bathroom. The Octagon is located just steps away from the main hotel and guests eat meals in the main dining room and enjoy the same access to all of the hotel’s facilities and activities.

Chalets – Sleeping 4-8 people, Portillo has 5 comfortable chalets perfect for groups travelling together. Guest staying in the chalets, dine in the main dining room and have full access to the hotel activities and facilities.

Deluxe Option

Hotel Portillo, Rooming options include Lake or Valley view standard or  balcony doubles, Family Apts (connecting rooms, one with a double room and the other with bunk beds) and Suites. Lake view rooms including Balcony rooms have been recently renovated.
