Bike Crested Butte

Crested Butte is home to some of the country’s most famous cross country and downhill mountain biking and needs to be on everyone’s list of places to visit during summer and beyond. Boasting hundreds of kilometres of trails that are almost all accessible from town, there’s enough here to keep even the most passionate mountain biker busy for weeks.  Some of the more famous trails are the 401 Trail, Doctor Park, Teocalli Ridge, and Strand Hill.

Overview

Located southwest Colorado, within the Gunnison National Forest and the Elk Mountain Range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains,  Crested Butte  has been at the forefront of the sport since the 1970’s and is considered a mecca of mountain biking.

Crested Butte has two things going for it that make it so distinctive:  the first is the town itself, being one of the last true remaining “local” towns in Colorado, radiating character from the moment you pull into the town of Crested Butte. Secondly, Crested Butte lies at the juncture of several mountain valleys allowing you to combine trails together with ease. Choose to experience a 16 km ride or combine trails to create a 48 km epic ride

The Evolution Bike Park was established at the Crested Butte Mountain Resort in 2009 and offers a diverse network of lift serviced and cross country trails that provide you with over 48 kms of trails that also connect to the trails in and around Crested Butte.  Crested Butte truly has it all.
